Willow workshops – create birds, dragonflies, fish, lanterns or butterflies
Printmaking – monoprinting – very simple method but great results
Printmaking - make a printing plate from foam board and print some original cards-can be adapted for Xmas cards.
Tie dying – transform your old T shirt into something personal and vibrant
Batik – [wax resist on fabric] –make banners or murals, pictures, cushions to decorate your home or work. Choose your own theme.
Banner making – using fabric, bondaweb and warm irons
Experimental drawing with ink, sticks, feathers, charcoal
Peg people - make famous characters or your superheroes from pegs and scrap
Textile art workshops – ribbon, lace, scrap fabric, stitch and glue
Creatures from the rubbish heap - explore the art of sculpture using exciting recycled materials to create a 3D creatures
Cast Away – play with plaster casting to make impressions of you hands and feet
Ocean magic – mixed media workshops using exciting materials and techniques to create a seascape. Same techniques can be applied to create a landscape.
Felt making - make some colourful felt pebbles, pots or a landscape – delightful, easy and very therapeutic!
Concertina book and decorate with drawings or prints
Small animals in soft wire – very effective and easy to use
Poetry and stitch – use scraps of materials to create a textile pieces inspired by some of our favourite poems
Experimental silk painting
Delightfully smelly fabric birds stuffed with lavender – easy straight hand stitching is required. Can be adapted for Xmas tree decorations
Ornamental small paper birds to hang – folding, assembling and gluing – using ornamental papers. Can be adapted for Xmas tree decoration workshops
Flying birds made from old plastic bottles and decorated with acrylic paint
Experimental collage – paper, stamps, newspaper and magazines and lots of imagination!
Junk boats, pirates treasure chests, mermaid mirrors
Cubist portraits - rulers, protractors and set squares and paint, crayon and collage
Recycled art – mandalas from carrier bags, trees from loo rolls, fish from bottle tops
I also run workshops in clay, glass painting, fabric and photo transfer printing onto canvas, hand made paper beads, paper hats, textile dolly bags, hand made laminated place mats, tie dye flags, decorate your own flip flops, hand painted pumps, puppet making – sock, finger, hand and stick!
